I’ve decided to feature a beauty section on my site again! I’m very excited to write about what products I’m trying out and loving. Today I thought I’d share my favourite products I’ve been using this last month. They are all beauty except for two. Hope you enjoy!
1- Next ‘Milan’ Eau de Parfum
I’ve had this unopened box of perfume for ages. Someone asked me what to get me for my birthday and I mentioned I loved Next perfume, in the scent ‘London’. They gave me ‘Milan’ instead! I thought I didn’t like that one so I left it unopened. Then I moved house and found it and opened it last month. What a brilliant surprise!!! I love it! To me it smells musky but really fresh. I think I get the ‘musky’ part from its sandlewood and amber base. The fresh part I think is its top notes which are melon and green apple. The heart of it is magnolia and violet. I think it smells really chic and sexy, perfect for day or night.
I checked on Next’s website to see if it’s still in stock and saw they have room defusers and candles in ‘Milan’ but not the eau de perfum but possibly they still have it in their branches.
2- Pukka Tea ‘Love’
I swear I didn’t just buy this because the packaging is so gorgeous!!! There are 20 sachets of Pukka tea in this box and I have already gone through 15 in like 3 days!!! Is that normal?! It’s just such a lovely tea I can’t help myself. It’s a heart warming touch of organic rose, chamomile and lavender. It’s really soothing and actually really helped me the other day when my stomach was really sore. I had a cup of this and it literally eased the pain away completely, like a big cosy internal cuddle! It’s caffeine free so it’s a nice option for the evening, won’t get you all wired before bedtime! It cost me €3.45 which seems pricey but then I remembered if you have a tea in a cafe you’d pay that for 1 cup! Also they stock this brand in Holland & Barrett and right now they’re having buy 1 get 2nd item half price on everything in store so it’s a good time to stock up! Lot of love for Pukka Love.
3- Dr Organic Lavender Skin Lotion
Lately I’ve been trying out lots of organic products and I’ve been loving this body lotion. I like how it’s really moisturising without feeling too heavy. It’s light but still really nourishing which is great as sometimes I don’t like a rich lotion. I put it on after every shower. It is so nice having a reliable organic body lotion especially in the winter months. It’s got lots of lovelies in it like organic lavender, cocoa butter and shea butter. I feel like I’m doing my skin a real favour using it! I don’t find the lavender aroma that strong which is perfect because I wouldn’t like it if it was too overpowering.
4- Primark Baubles
These Primark baubles are so pretty. They cost €4 for a pack of 20 in a medium size. They have a nice selection of colours. In my pack there were pink, gold, red and blue. I got a mini pack also for €3 with the same colours. They come with the string already in the top part so they are ready to hang. A lot of cheaper baubles come with separate string that you need to attach yourself so be sure to have a look to save yourself having to individually thread 50 baubles!!!
5- Seventeen Cheek Stamp
I absolutely LOVE this product. It looks like such a gimic but it is brilliant! It is so neat, handy and I have been using it all the time. It’s a powder blush and comes with a mirror on the outside. It’s available in 5 colours. I have it in a beautiful candy pink shade. When you screw the lid off you have a sponge applicator and in your round pot is your powder blush. It is so cleverly designed. I used cream blush prior to this which I applied with my finger. But then I couldn’t use my finger with my false nails so I was using a stippling brush to apply it. I really liked how that looked but then I got this Seventeen Cheek Stamp and I haven’t looked back! It’s so handy to use and I can pop it in my bag and not worry about needing to pack a brush and separate mirror. The colour lasts all day. It’s a 3 in 1 gem. Blush, sponge applicator AND mirror. Just perfect. It costs €6.99 at Boots.
6- Catrice Cosmetics Ultimate Nail Lacquer
I honestly can’t get over the amazing quality of these nail lacquers. They cost €2.99, can you believe that!? They look like they cost so much more. The colour range is fab. I chose numbers 51 I’m so aNude’ and 94 ‘It’s a Very Berry Bash’. These two colours have been seeing me through Autumn/Winter superbly. I won’t need any other colours to see me through Christmas festivities. I feel like a good nude and a red are nail colour staples, the equivalent to an LBD! (Little black dress!!!) But I think people love changing up their nail colour quite often so finding a decent quality polish at an affordable price is essential and this Catrice Nail Lacquer fits the bill.
Personally I wear it over my false nails. I wear two coats and it lasts me two weeks! Incredible. It’s a high shine finish, similar to a gel look. If you’re wearing it on your natural nail use a clear base coat, two coats of the polish then finish with a top clear coat to keep them protected. The thick brush makes it super easy to apply and it dried on my nails in just a few minutes. I can’t rave about these nail lacquers enough. And that berry colour….SO FESTIVE! Hello Christmas time!
So there it is my first ever monthly favourites! I hope you enjoyed it. I’m so excited to be back writing about beauty again. I’m looking forward to sharing all my new finds and old reliable products with you.
Hope everyone’s spirits are high and all your holiday preparations are going smoothly.
